Daily Annoyances

Trying to get certain things to coexist in a peaceful way.

Mel as an illustrator/designer seems to be fading…or dying. Take your pick.

LV as an artist is frustrated with her stubborn hands not doing the things they’re supposed to do.

I can’t remember.

Daily annoyances:

1. Work that isn’t moving.

2. Sites that don’t respond.

3. Galleries that could care less.

4. Empty inbox.

5. Artistic web authorities creating hype for bullshit.

6. Not being as good as I could be.

7. Failure that “isn’t an option” becoming more of possibility.

8. Not liking #7 not one bit.

9. Mania.

10. Not finding inspiration in the things that never failed to inspire me.

I nearly sliced the tip of my finger off!

As I’ve stated in previous posts…BE CAREFUL with knives. Also, be careful OPENING THE WOODEN BOX that contains your knives.

i’m an idiot, lol.

So I was about to start round 2 of carving for the day…I slid the cover off my knife box and felt a zzziiipppp. The tip of my thumb dude. I pretty much had pressed my thumb into the tip of the knife.

My instinctive reaction - shake my thumb.

In doing so I splattered blood all over my living room floor, all over my shirt, fuggin’ EVERYWHERE.

I honesty wish I had stopped to take pictures of this whole thing because it wa sreally ridiculous how much blood there was - and the cut it soooo tiny. *shakes head* And the best part, my husband following me and my blood splatters around the house with a wet paper towel and some pledge! LOL.

Oh well, yet another lesson learned.

Hmm…

More confused than I’d like to be at this point. Sitting in front of illustrator, slightly drunk, resting my head on my knee. WTF? Can’t figure out the damn solution.

It’s another one of those days folks, jeez…

“I’m absolutely confused with what I just drew.”
