So far this is a pretty pathetic looking attempt at me wood burning. lol. Thankfully I have a detailer bit to clean up any of the choppy lines. At first, I was just going to burn it and let it be, but now I’m debating whether or not to throw a little bit of color in there. Hmm…
Still got a wayyyys to go. I think I need a little breaky.

Yea, so this is one of those “things” I needed to get out of my system (there’s alot of them folks, so do prepare yourselves) I found some really great reference for all that stuff floating around in my head, so here’s hoping I can purge it all in the coming months - unless I’m struck with some other otherworldly force pointing me in a different direction. Who knows.
p.s. Did I mention that this is on a skate deck?

Almost finitto. The main colors have already been layed down, all I have to do now is touch up the paint in the carved outline of the birds, and paint over any colors that spilled over on to the red.

Laying down the first coat of red paint. Red Oxide is quite possibly my favorite color.

A little wedding anniversary project/present for better half and home :) I’ve been dying to carve lately, so this project has really got me going. Relief!
(I can’t really take any credit for the bird design above - it’s not mine. I saw it on the back rest of a restaurant chair in Mexico. If anyone knows who the artist/manufacturer of these chairs is PLEASE contact me ASAP. I loved them)

The Anniversary Project

I finally finished my anniversary project for my huz & kitchen. Pics of the progress as well as details of the final product are scheduled to be posted this coming Monday.

Also - the Custom section of Ineffable3 will have new (well kinda new) work uploaded. The updated pages will go live this coming Tuesday (June 9th).

WhooHoo!

The Bar Project | Part I

After many months of procrastination/just being plain ol’ busy, we finally began building our bar. YAY! A trip to Home Depot became, four trips to Home Depot…but that’s usually the case when you build stuff.

Since the huz is such a handy little fella, and I’m a pretty crafty chick, we like to combine forces like Voltron and make mucho crazy sheeit!

This is where our little bar adventure began…

Our skeleton is almost done.

Mmmm…the coldest beer EVER….

A bit more chopping and shit load of drilling later…

Success! A…umm…bar base?

…Ok, so our project was cut short due to the fact that our circular saw decided to die -  of course - so we we’rent able to cut and attach the bar top. Another day, another day…

But yea, once all the slave labor is done, I can get busy staining and decorating the entire thing. WhooHoo! Cheers to a productive Sunday afternoon :)

It’s looking a hell of alot better, aye? A little bit more back cutting, a little bit of rounding, and a shit load of sanding really goes a long way, lol. I’m just stoked it actually looks like a heart.
I’m hoping new friends over at WCI will give me some tips on how to treat the wood properly. For now I’m debating whether or not I’m going to do my signature style staining to it…hmm, me thinks…

Sadly, Acia will only be 1 panel - the other two pieces just didn’t work out as planned *sigh* Anyhoo, this little bugger is due on Saturday, so let me get back to work.

As you can see…

I can’t work on a studio desk…so I just spread all my shit out on the living room floor :)

The show’s due date is Feb 28th so I really need to haul ass and try to get these three panels done. Oh, World of Imagination, how you’ve tormented me so…
