These were mine :)
Now, I had assumed that these drawings were going to be mounted to the wall - that was not the case. Instead they were hung up on a sort of laundry line. This kinda killed my set because the images were supposed to be stacked vertically one above the other - That’s the only way the position of the hands makes any sense.
But whatevs…this is what it should have looked like.
p.s. My pics were hung right next to one of the most beautiful set of pieces in the whole show. Those damn owls and zebras and lemurs and fish were friggin’ BANANAS!
My reflection on last night’s opening…
Where to begin, where to begin..
It was a pretty good opening night, alot of people, alot of really fucking incredible drawings…but sadly alot of really mediocre-shouldnt-have-been-in-the-show-at-all-kinda work.
I’m not a hater, I’m just simply being honest.
First off the show was called “SKETCH IT OUT” so why the hell were there photographs in this show. That was my first pet peeve. Maybe I’m old fashioned , but if I’m told to sketch it out, my ass is grabbing a pen/pencil and paper and getting down to business. So to sum up my frustration:
• No my work would not be done in Adobe Illustrator
• No my work would not be a print out of something I did in Photoshop
• No my work would not be a PHOTOGRAPH
Now let’s be clear about something - I’m not saying the work mentioned above was not good - What I am saying is that it broke up the consistency of the show’s idea/theme.
I had to get that off my chest. Wooosaaaa…

April bloomed and now I’m sleepy…
Turning in these wretched hands manana finally. Very happy to see them go, because to be honest - Im tired of looking at them…but most of all I’m tired of them looking at me.
I turn them face down and quietly walk away.
