Printing Days 2 & 3

Printing Day 2 (yesterday) went very well. I ran off 11 more prints, but only half of them were blackity black, so today I’m hoping for a better blacker outcome. My goal is make a small run of 50 prints, including some red ones :)

ok, off to work!

Numero 3 (of course it was 3) My paper got all discombobulated n’ shit. The result was this freakishness. Tho, the more I stare at it, the more I like it.

This is the first finished print out of the 11 test prints completed today. It’s been a while since I’ve used my press - it’s a little fickle at times. The paper creased up a bit but it was still a pretty good outcome for the very first run.

My printing table was a little too small for this woodblock, so we needed to extend it a bit. Nothing a trip to Home Depot can’t fix! An hour later, my table was all nice and sturdy and ready for work…
Here I am laying down some ink.
