I finally began painting today. The more I look at it dipped in white, the more I wish I had just kept the natural wood finish :/ Oh well, maybe my feelings will change along the way.

It took a while for me to get it right, but I managed to carve the face (it’s also pretty accurate to my original drawing, so double score!) Hopefully I’ll have some time tomorrow to get carving on the body. We shall see…
