OK kiddies - What’s wrong with this picture?
</rant>maybe you should get someone with an artistic eye - or a thimble full of fucking brain cells for that matter, to hang the artwork in your gallery</rant>
I, along with the work of several others, were jumbled up! What was supposed to be beautiful continuous images spanning from picture frame to picture frame ended up looking visually confusing, and more than that - completely meaningless.
After seeing this fuck up, and being obviously peeved (don’t screw with the emotions of a pregnant woman), I decided to grit my teeth and continue looking at other work.
wtf, sigh…
My husband approached the owner and explained the mixup, and how, other than the fact it’s VISUALLY OBVIOUS how the pieces should flow, I had noted on my contract as well as behind the artwork itself how the pieces were to be hung. The owner (a nice dude by the way) apologized for the screw up and assured me that the problem with my artwork would be taken care of…
The visual, as well as the story behind April Blooming is kind of dear to me, and the fact that it’s been shown incorrectly in 2 shows really kills my artistic spirit a bit :/
Oh well, can’t win em’ all…
(FYI, don’t expect to ever see these pieces again. They are officially being retired when der Zeit comes to a close)
