Current state of brainstorming…
I had a very productive train ride this afternoon. (can I just say how much I MISS taking the train in to work everyday) Anyhoo, it’s the best place to A. either want to kill someone if you’re pissed or B. if you find yourself in a nice peaceful state of zen (like I happened to have been) it’s an incredible place to just sit and watch people - in a totally non creepy sort of way. It’s just an amazing resource for studying facial expressions, body types and movement.
So, during my 45min train ride, I listened to some Knife, and curiously observed my fellow straphangers - and with N.Y. Hotel on loop for a few times I saw the light - The theme for my next series of sketch/woods/prints.
All I can say is, Yay! Finally some inspiration :) Now it’s time to get crackin’…
